New Zealand's home World Cup qualifier against Fiji has been moved to Samoa to settle a visa row, football officials said on Tuesday.
The match, called off by FIFA after New Zealand refused entry to Fiji's goalkeeper, was originally due to be played on October 13. It will now be held in Apia on Monday, June 23, the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) said.
New Zealand refused to give a visa to Fiji's Simone Tasmanisau because his father-in-law is in the armed forces. New Zealand has barred Fiji's military and their families in the wake of the Pacific nation's 2006 coup.
New Zealand are top of the 2010 World Cup Oceania qualifying group with three wins out of three, including a 2-0 victory over Fiji in Lautoka on October 17.
New Zealand will also play second-placed New Caledonia on September 6 and 10, the OFC said. Oceania's top team will play off against the fifth-ranked Asian qualifier for a place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
