England will have one extra berth in the UEFA Cup next season as the Premier League teams came top in the fair play rankings from the European football body UEFA.
UEFA said on Friday that two further UEFA Cup entries from the fair play rankings will be drawn on May 13 from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Spain and France.
The three teams will enter the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.
UEFA's fair play competition ran June 1, 2007-April 30, 2008, covering all club and national team games run by UEFA.
The respective federations must have played a minimum 34 matches. A coefficient of 8.0 or higher was required to be in the running for the UEFA Cup places.
The UEFA fair play coefficient is based on criteria including positive play, respect of the opponent, respect of the referee, behaviour of the crowd and of team officials, cautions and dismissals.
The teams will be the fair play winners from the respective domestic leagues. If a club has already earned a place in Europe the next best team from the fair play list will be chosen.
