England coach Fabio Capello has confirmed that his team's training base will be in Rustenburg during the World Cup.
Capello had expressed concern about the state of the training pitches on the Royal Bafokeng sports campus when he visited them earlier this month.
Those concerns have now been eased and Capello said Tuesday that Rustenburg is the "best place for us."
The Italian said he has been assured the pitches "will be OK for June when we are in South Africa." Rustenburg, which is at an altitude of 1,153 meters (3,783 feet), is where England plays its opening match against the United States on June 12.
